Ms Deanna J Collins
After obtaining her International Diplomas in Marine Personnel and General Management,
she attended various courses including Recruitment and selection, crewing and policies
and Quality Assurance, STCW ’95.Employed by SAFMARINE from 1969 – 2008 during which she was responsible for Manning and Training and Development of a fleet of eighteen foreign-going vessels employing approximately one thousand (1000) seafarers.
She was directly responsible for seafarers recruitment, employment, training and development. Initiator of SAMTRA Simulator Training Centre in Simons’ Town in South Africa.
She was voted South African’s Maritime Woman of the year in 2003. Presently she is crewing and training Director for Marine Crew Services South Africa.

Mr Kjell B. Nibe has been working with electronic exam and election systems for 30 years. His examination and election system has been used in United Kingdom, Denmark, Norway, and is permanently in use by the Danish Aviation Authorities.

CAPTAIN Surersh Bhardwaj
Vice Chancellor – Amet University, Chennai, India
Capt. S. Bhardwaj has over 35 years of work experience, which includes 5 years as
Master of various types of ships and then 20 years of multi-disciplinary shore experience
in senior and top management positions.
He is a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (UK), Member Master Mariners
of India, Member of International Federation of Ship Masters Association UK, and
Member of The Nautical Institute UK.
He has presented papers at many international forums like at London, Dubai, Los
Angeles, Manila, Bremen, in Germany and recently at Copenhagen, in Denmark.
He is presently the Vice Chancellor of AMET University (the first Maritime University
of this country) located in Kanathur, Chennai, India., and the first Mariner in
the country to reach these highest echelons of the Academic world.

Capt Okesanjo Temilola Fatai
General Manager – Shipping Division, Nigeria LNG Ltd
Capt Okesanjo Temilola Fatai began his sea career in the year 1981; he obtained
his Master Class 1 Certificate of Competency (Navigation) in Australian Maritime
College, Tasmania Australia in the year 1990.
Trained & Served as Officer on different types of Foreign Going Vessels including
Cargo Ship, Oil Tankers & Container Ships. He is presently General Manager Shipping
Division, Nigeria LNG.

Mr. Per A. Meek- Master Mariner
Assistant Director
Norwegian Maritime Directorate
Mr Per O. Meek is educated and sailed Master Mariner for years, before he joined NMD. He assisted the Namibian Government in establishing the Namibian Maritime Administration, and is well reputed in the International Maritime Society.

Eng Daniel Fuchs
MD – Marine Division of Continental Shipyard
Danny Fuchs is a holder of MBA Management, BSc. Mechanical Engineering and MSc.
Naval Architecture from University of Michigan.
He had a successful career in the Israeli Navy before retirement in 2005. He is
presently the group Managing Director of Marine Division of Continental Shipyard,
Landfall Transport & Towage and Lagos Channel Management.
He is married with three children

Capt. Arne Loland – Master Mariner
CEO/ Chairman – Arlo Innovation
Capt. Arne went to sea in 1970. A holder of BSc. Marine and Nautical field a Mass Communication, GMSS/ GOC, Class 1 Master Mariner. He is Project Director, Poseidon Consultant AS. He has produced several sea training programmes on STCW ’95.

Captain Aaron Obeng Turkson

Aaron began his sea career as a cadet in Ghana Nautical College in 1973. Obtained
Class 1 (Master Mariner) in College of South Tyneside, UK in 1984. Promoted as Master
in 1986.
After many years of command of different type of ocean going vessels, he became
a senior lecturer at Regional Maritime Academy in 1990.
He obtained Msc Technical Management of Shipping Companies in Malmo University Oslo-Norway
(1992-1993).
He piloted Regional Maritime Academy to the status of Maritime University in 2008.
Presently, He is the Rector of the University

Captain Jones served 15 years in the Merchant Navy on General Cargo, Tankers and
Bulk Carriers. Since 'coming ashore' he has worked in the Maritime sector for some
25 years, 18 of those years in Maritime Training and Education in various countries.He has been Curriculum Leader at the Fleetwood Nautical Campus for 6 years with responsibility for Ship Simulation, Pilot, Tug master, Ship Handling and VTS training Courses including those for African Nations.

Thomas Frimodt Christensen is a Global Key Account Manager at Falck Nutec and has
been one of the forces in Falck Nutec’s new business strategy.
Originally providing Health & Safety Training to clients in Countries around the North Sea with fixed training facilities in United Kingdom, Holland, Norway and Denmark, Falck Nutec has grown over the last few years to have training centres in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Nigeria, Brazil, Trinidad & Tobago and United States/GOM + having the great opportunity of sending skilled instructors to perform training on location.
Thomas holds a degree in export sales and marketing diploma and has held numerous sales positions in different Companies since 1989.
